WALT. Through finding out about volcanoes around the world to pin on a map, we are learning to make meaning of a range of texts by identifying main ideas in them and then translating the information and ideas that we learn into our own words.

I had to create a Google map showing information about volcanoes around the World. I had to pin them And put information with The volcanoes. My new learning is about volcanoes And getting information on line and making it to own worlds. When they look at my creation They know that I have learnt about volcanoes around the world.

Writing a narrative..

In 1881 sept the 21st there was a big fight on Sunday around 12.00. They were close by the village. There were two people and their names are Aroha and Hemi. Aroha’s Personality is loving and nice. Hemi’s personality is mean and lazy. What they were having a fight about is  Mt Wellington. They would`it stop fighting they went on and on.

Then some people came up with some ideas one of them were votes and other one was share the land. But Hemi did not agree with sharing the land but he did agree with voting. So he told some people to tell everyone that they will be having votes to who get Mt Wellington. 

After a while they went to see who gets Mt Wellington. They made their way to the village where they’re going to choose Aroha or Hemi one person had to say who won Mt Wellington. This man Hohepa said I will call the name out. So he counted the votes and he said Aroha!  When Aroha look at Hemi face it was an angry face. He went home Mad. Then After a while he felt ok.

Survivors - How to adapt to survive?

My movie is about how an animal might survive in a new place. It would have to change to survive. I have created a movie to show how a fish that lives in a river might survive in Antarctica.

This term we have been learning about P.E.S survivors and how animals adapt. I had to create an animation about a fish  which changes when to moves to a different environment.

My fish lives in a river. It is grey which helps it not get seen. It is a really good swimmer which helps it survive by swimming fast to not get eaten and to catch food.

I moved my fish to the Arctic Sea  but it is very cold and icey there.

My fish would not survive because it's not camouflage and it need to change a bit different  

My fish would need to change to live in the Arctic. I would change its color to rainbow so than other fish think it is just rubbish. it will chan into longer flippers and big and the body will be long and it will be real faster.

Athletics Day

Last Friday I woke up and I knew it Athletics Day so I grabbed my red clothes. I am in Te Aurere!

At school we had to get into our t shirts and shorts to show our house colour.The first thing we did was sprinting. I was in the first line I was running so hard that I came second.Then the second line went and the lines keep going. When all the lines were finished we did the finals. When I went I was so nervous inside I just couldn't  wait I said in my head. BANG there it went, I was going so fast but then ‘Oh no why’ I said . I lost but I did I didn't come last.

After a while we changed to shot put . When we got there I really wanted to come first, second or third. We went to sit down and a teacher told us the instructions. What she said is if you think that you know how to play shot put please go with the boys. If you think you need more help stay where you are . We went into a line The first person 2,3,4 went then it came to me .I tried so hard but I just wasn't quite there yet.

I really enjoyed athletics day but it was hard.  What I enjoyed the most was having a  sack bag race.   I think you should join TeAurere house because we work so hard.                                                                                                    

The egg crazy day..!!

On the  21st of Wednesday me and my partner Aramanielle had a crazy day with our class when Mrs bax said that we had to have an egg friend it was a crazy thing. I liked it when  we were drawing our Egg friend.

Then Mr bax said that we were having a egg friend face how crazy is he getting so our class was like an Friend Race. Then we went to our lines and we went to our partner and we both had to race together we had a challenge it was very hard because we had to walk with the eggs.

When we  did our egg Race I really didn't want to lose my friend so I jaitley go to walk with the egg friend THEN he fell he splash on to the bunk it was so guwy OH Know I said.  

I had so much fun playing the egg friend race.  I was also sad that we couldn't save the egg.

My best holiday ever..

On the holiday me and my family went to water world I was there on Saturday and they were extremely exceeded. I went there because of my birthday.  When I went in the cold freezing water I felt like I was about to freeze it was like ice. I was in the cold water for  a tiny bit long. Then I went to the warm pool I was so warm in the pool then it started to get hot so I went to the cold and freezing pool.

Then At 1:00 me and my brothers and my dad went out of the pool because we had a yummy feed it was so yummy we had mince and sausage for our kai For drest we had ice cream and cake.  

Then the day after me and my brother and my dad and step mum went to a shop and buy some shoes and some clothes  on that day it was the best. My cousins were so excited to be with us because we haven't been at my aunt's house it been so long seec i’ve been At there house.

My favourite thing that I did was dieing my hair Red I like it. It was exciting I was so Happy. `

Crocodile and the man

One day a man went for a swim then a crocodile came along. Then he ran to the Boat and could for help but know one look around. He felt frighted of the crocodile

he was shocked and he was surprised.   

He swim back so fast the crocodile nearly killed .Him the crocodile was creeping (said the man) when he was on the boat before the crocodile was banging on the boat.

The Bull

On a nice sunny day a man went for a swim and out of nowhere came a bull he was frightened and very surprised he ran as fast as he could.The bull was very dangerous.

The man should help help know one realize . He need help the bull jump up over the sand bag and ran to the man.The man was even more frightened about the bull.

On Monday the 7th of September At 1pm our whole school did cross country Mr va”afususga At the race I was not good i felt sick or something like want people have when it exceeding It was it we had to start the race Mrs Burt said really sit Go

I ran people said go T.A and to everybody oles all the people said go to everybody the race was hard .

It was so sunny at 1:pm I was sweating throw the run I stopped for a minute it was hot like lava when I first laid up i felt like I had butterflies in my tummy I was really scared for know reason I really wanted to come 1,2,3.

When I came 7th I was not very parade of myself  but I know that I was trying my hardest I push myself to go hard. When my 2 friends came first I was very proud of them.

I felt Happy when I tried my hardest I tried to be speed up  I felt happy for my  place even if I came 7th I still tried my best.
